Michael Lutin
Der Amerikaner Michael Lutin, geboren in Hartford (Connecticut), Wahl-New Yorker, hält seine Geburtsdaten und sein Sonnenzeichen geheim, da er der Ansicht ist, dass dies zu Vorurteilen gegen ihn führen würde[1]. Es sind zwar dennoch Daten im Umlauf, die jedoch mit Rücksicht auf die Privatsphäre Lutins an dieser Stelle unveröffentlicht bleiben[1].
Biographie
Er studierte Französisch an der Harvard-Universität, erwarb diverse Grade im Trinity College in Connecticut und brach schließlich auf der Yale-Universität ein angefangenes Doktorat ab. In Paris arbeitete er sich vom Austernverkäufer bis zum Manager der Galerie Castelli/ Sonnabend hoch.[2]
Astrologie
Der Astrologe Michael Lutin schreibt für "Vanity Fair" und "American Way" (die Bordzeitung von American Airlines). Neben seinen astrologischen Büchern schrieb er auch Texte für vier Musicals: "Pardon My Pluto," "I was Nostradamus' Girlfriend," "Alien Follies," and "What God Says Goes." Er bestreitet Ein-Mann-Shows in den Vereinigten Staaten; seine Shows an dem UAC Astrologiekonferenzen sind legendär und dort jeweils eines der Highlights im Unterhaltungsprogramm. Wenn er sich einmal nicht in Süd-Kalifornien, Hartford (Connecticut) oder Paris aufhält, berät er Klienten in seinem Büro in New York.[3].
Lutin ist Mitglied in den wichtigsten Astrologie-Vereinigungen Amerikas: ISAR, AFAN und NCGR; darüber hinaus in der San Diego Astrology Society und der International Society for Communicative Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy. Für sein Engagement, Astrologie auch interdisziplinär mit anderen Fachrichtungen zu betreiben und hierbei das Ansehen der Astrologie als eigenständige Disziplin zu stärken, wurde ihm auf der UAC 1995 der Regulus Award verliehen.
Nancy Imperiale schreibt über ihn im "Orlando Sentinel"[4]: "Michael Lutin ist der Mick Jagger der Astrologie." Er selbst bezeichnet sich als "schrägen, abgefahrenen, witzigen und präzisen Astrologen"[5]. Sein Credo bei einer Beratung: Der Klient weiß immer mehr über sich selbst als der Astrologe jemals wissen könnte.[1]
Auf der UAC 2012 wurde ihm der Regulus Award für sein Lebenswerk verliehen.
